Our Journey

The formation of the Stockholm Carrom Association was a result of extensive discussions and collaborations among carrom enthusiasts. The first step involved outlined the objectives, structure, and functioning of the association based on the principles of fairness, transparency, and inclusivity. Efforts were made to register the carrom association as a legal entity. With the legal aspects in place, the next phase focused on building a strong foundation for the carrom association. This included establishing an executive committee comprising individuals with expertise in various aspects of carrom administration. The committee members were responsible for overseeing different areas such as finance, tournaments, player development, marketing, and communication.

Our Objectives

• Create awareness, promote and develop the sport of Carrom in Sweden at various levels
• Organize tournaments at various levels. This involved identifying suitable venues, arranging for equipment, recruiting referees, and managing logistics.
• Establish and enforce standardized rules and regulations for the sport. This ensures fair play and consistency in gameplay across different tournaments and levels.
• Promote the sport among the general public. This includes organizing promotional events, demonstrations, and workshops to introduce carrom to new audiences. The association may also work towards getting carrom recognized as an official sport by relevant sports authorities or government bodies
• Maintain the integrity of the sport and ensures that all players have an equal opportunity to succeed.
• In addition to promoting the sport itself, Stockholm carrom association also focuses on player development. This involves providing training programs, coaching sessions, and resources for players of all skill levels.
• Collaborate with experienced coaches or trainers to offer specialized training to aspiring players. By investing in player development, the association aims to nurture talent, improve the overall standard of play, and produce competitive players who can represent their country or region at international events.
• By staying updated with advancements in the sport, the association ensures that carrom continues to evolve and remain relevant in the modern era.

Our Vision

To strive to promote the Carrom through various means. This would include organizing tournaments, leagues, and championships that attract top players from around the Sweden. By providing a platform for players to showcase their skills and compete at the highest level, the association can elevate the status of carrom as a recognized sport in Sweden.
